Having a solid LinkedIn presence is important for businesses of all sizes.
You can use the social network to grow all parts of your company, from finding new employees to finding lucrative new B2B leads and sales.
Building and growing a LinkedIn company page is a process, but when done correctly, you can speed up your growth and start driving new sales quickly.
If your company is looking to grow its LinkedIn presence, you're in the right place. Because in this article, we'll show you how to quickly and effectively grow your LinkedIn presence to reach more people.
We focused on tips that are easy to implement and provide relatively quick results in the new year. So without any further ado...
Let's jump into the tips!
Make sure your page is completely filled out
Here's an easy one: make sure all of your company's LinkedIn page is filled out and in-line with the rest of your social channels.
Some things to include are a cover photo, profile photo, an up-to-date phone number and address, and more. This makes your profile look legitimate and professional.
One easy way to do this is to go to the admin page for your company page and fill out everything on the page.
A note on banner images and profile pictures
Make sure that your banner images and profile photos are the same across all of your social media profiles. This makes your brand more recognizable, and your followers will know that your LinkedIn page actually belongs to your company.
Post original (and engaging) content
Make sure you're consistently posting new content to your LinkedIn company page.
This can be a mixture of things, but some low-hanging fruit includes links to blog posts, videos, and infographics. This content is shareable and will keep your followers updated.
Don't have the time to make original content? Consider posting third-party content and branding it with our Link Frames feature.
This feature lets you add a custom banner to the top or bottom of third-party content. This makes sure that your followers come back to your website when clicking on links—even if you didn't write the content yourself.
Have employees add you as a current workplace
Chances are, your employees are on LinkedIn. Hey, maybe that's where you found them in the first place.
Feed off your employee's LinkedIn following and encourage them to add your company as a workplace on their LinkedIn profile. This will give you extra exposure and improves your brand image.
Use LinkedIn Groups (or make your own)
Like Facebook groups, LinkedIn groups are getting more and more popular. So with that, actively share your brand's original content to related LinkedIn groups.
For example, we share our blog posts to the Digital Marketing group on LinkedIn from time to time. This drives traffic and helps us build brand authority on the topics we write about.
Just a word of caution though. Always make sure to read the group rules before you post. Some groups prohibit self-promotion, and you could be banned for posting it.
Upload LinkedIn videos frequently
Last but not least: use visual media in your social media posts. Preferably video.
LinkedIn launched its native video platform last year and has seen a huge amount of engagement since launch. In fact, 38% of marketers used LinkedIn video last year, and 75% of those that did found it to be an effective marketing strategy.
But don't worry: you don't need to be a video expert to make a LinkedIn video.
Just come up with a few topics you're knowledgeable on, write a script, and film the video with your smartphone. Edit using iMovie or another free editing app, and you can post the video right from your phone.
Post the video to company's page, or post it to your personal page and tag your company page.
